Joya is a demarchy which means that our leaders are randomly chosen from all parts of the population every two years.
​
Since 2018 we are happy to call Mrs. Donna Blink our beloved president. Mrs. Blink is a 35-year old woman who loves dancing, cooking and writing poetry. She has a wife named Lily. Her favourite colour is yellow and she loves going for a walk with her dog, Mr. Binkers.
​
Together with her First and Second she will lead Joya until 2020.

JOYA IS...
Love. Love four each other, love for nature, love for animals and love for this world. Without love there can be no joy and so no Joya.
THE FIRST
Nona Mark is a 70-year old colourful and vibrant woman who loves extravagance and over the top outfits. She has two ponies, Willem and Hariette, and you are most likely to run into her at one of the thrift stores in Gemma.
She likes to see herself as the grandma of Joya and hopes to help every Joyer as much as she can.
THE SECOND
Blake Copper is a young man in his early twenties who has a big heart and soul for music. He is very talented and besides playing the guitar, he is also a very good singer.

Blake is a very friendly and sociable person. He is not afraid to tell people what he thinks and is a very passionate man. When he sees injustice or intolerance he will be the first to react and take action.
